HOW sumHR HELPS VEENA WORLD
manage their HR issues every day.
“Now we’re ready for month-end attendance and leave reports in just a few clicks. The easy interface, and simplified features have helped us implement and trickle down sumHR to all branches, and each employee, without breaking a sweat.”
– Bhavana Sawant, Asst. Manager – HR
Veena World is a Mumbai, India based online/offline travel company established in 2013. Veena World functions with the motto of travel, explore, celebrate. The booking offices are present at multiple locations. The company is today run by 500+ employees.
Employee data was collected through hard copies and maintained in excel sheets with risk of data loss.
Attendance records had to be downloaded, emailed and rectified manually through excel sheets.
Leave applications from various locations were done via emails. HR teams had to collate approvals/suggestions from email records.
Employee records were never in one place and hard to extract.
Individual profiles were allotted to employees where they could update their data and upload documents
The biometric systems were synced to provide elaborate attendance reports that could be accessed from anywhere
Leave structures could be easily created and HR was notified of approvals/rejection automatically
All employee records could be accessed from their browsers and reports could be downloaded too
Employee Social Network
Given the size of the company (around 500 employees), Veena World had an extensive database, which had to be migrated to our system in an organized way along with providing all the necessary technical help from our end. Personal details and documents of employees could be stored on cloud, and accessed from any server. Employee profiles could be viewed under the company directory module and their individual details could be viewed by others in the company. This allowed the HR department to have access to employee records/documents when required. Also, leaves applied by employees could be approved/rejected conveniently by their corresponding reporting managers via sumHR’s user-friendly interface. They could also view the leaves and attendance records of subordinates, all in one place. Automation of attendance montoring and leaves tracking helped generating reports in a jiffy. Apart from these features, the inbuilt calender helped employees see upcoming events like holidays or birthdays and share meeting/training schedules with colleagues. “Streams” which is a company social network, encourages social bonding and serves as a platform for important announcements.
