WHAT

YOU

DO

Own product design decisions, projects and their execution

  • Supervise (and/or execute) all design projects across all departments
  • Lead the front-end user-experience of our product, from web to mobile
  • Work with the founders to scale the company up to a global level
  • Be at the forefront of the #hrtech revolution and make a big impact to the future of HR tech
  • Design an iconic and beloved identity for a high-profile #hrtechstartup as it grows and breaks barriers. (think Zenefits, Gusto, Namely)
  • Design products and tools which employees love, and HR team’s swear-by
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences. (prototypes not mandatory)
  • Design and deliver user stories, user journeys, wireframes and mockups
  • Design simple interfaces irrespective of feature complexity and optimized for a variety of devices.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions, swiftly
  • Make strategic design and UX decisions, across the product spectrum
  • Rapidly test and iterate design variations based on usage analysis
  • Constantly collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to stay on point with product vision
  • Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas
WHAT

YOU

ARE

From the design perspective, you have :

  • 4+ years of total experience across Design spectrum like graphics, user-research, interaction, visual design, prototyping
  • 2+ years of experience designing web-applications (B2B), especially on products with comprehensive feature sets
  • An obsessive eye for visual and interaction design details
  • Understanding of how and where to use data to improve product interfaces and user-interactions
  • Working knowledge of HTML & CSS (bonus points, if extensive coding experience)
  • Excellent communication skills, you should be able to clearly articulate your design decisions
  • Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of front-end programming technologies (bonus points, if actual coding experience)

On the Leadership front, you have :

  • Built and/or led a team before but you’re comfortable working individually too.
  • Led the design ownership of a product by collaborating with a multi-departmental team
  • An obsession about delivering a WOW experience and value to users of your product
  • Strong skills required to explain complicated concepts in the most simplest ways

Product-wise, you have :

  • Experience conducting and/or managing the user-research & analysis
  • Engaged in the product development process in prior roles
  • Temperament to gauge when to push for simplicity vs perfection, and vice versa
  • Interest in tracking user-behaviour and key usage metrics
